Lara Logan Spills the Beans about Afghanistan

This video is a devastating critique of Obama's foreign policy. It refutes the isolationism of Ron Paul. It also rightly challenges George W. Bush and Bill Clinton as well.

"Your deadliest enemies on the Afghan battlefield have completely freedom of movement inside Pakistan with the blessing of the Pakistanis. And every commander that's sat in your shoes has had to try and build a relationship and go through the same motions time and time again. And the effect on the battlefield remains exactly the same: American soldiers continue to die because of the support Pakistan gives to America's enemies.

[General Allen:]You just stated the truth.
[...]
To think there is any similarity between this and Viet Nam is ridiculous. The Viet Cong didn't care what you did when you went back to America. The Viet Cong weren't fighting for an Islamic caliphate. The Viet Cong didn't have a global struggle. And it's amazing to me that we constantly ignore what Al-Qaeda and the Taliban and [...] all these groups tell us every day in their own newspapers, in their own statements.
[...]
Our way of life is under attack, and if you think that's government propaganda, if you think that's nonsense, if you think that's warmongering, [then] you're not listening to what the people who are fighting you say about this fight. In your arrogance, you think you write the script.
[...]
If you fail to identify the ideological component to this fight, if you fail to identify what your enemy is really fighting for, if you lie about who they really are, I don't see how you could possible have the right strategy.
[...]
When I look at what's happening in Libya, there's a big song and dance about whether this was a terrorist attack or a protest. And you just want to scream, "For God's sake! Are you kidding me?" The last time we were attacked like this was the USS Cole, which was a prelude to the 1998 embassy bombings, which was a prelude to 9/11. And you're sending in FBI to investigate. I hope to God that you're sending in your best clandestine warriors who are going to exact revenge and let the world know that the United States will not be attacked on its own soil, that its ambassadors will not be murdered, and the United States will not stand by and do nothing about it."

I Built This

Up your, mister alleged president. This is America, where Personal Liberty and the Rule of Law are respected. We build things. People like us come here from all over the world to Live Free and Prosper by the Sweat of their brow. I understand that you were taught hatred born of impotent envy for America. I know you resent America for our Prosperity and you want to "fundamentally transform" us from within because your tyrannical utopian fantasy cannot compete with the Reality of Free Enterprise. But you haven't done it, yet. We are still America. So, up your, mister alleged president. We did build that.

Dread Pirate Roberts

Just a brief note on the horrible, unconstitutional, fantastical, ridiculous decision by Chief Justice John Roberts regarding Obamacare, a.k.a. Obama's Health Care Destruction Act.

In his decision, Justice Roberts explains why the law is unconstitutional. He then proceeds to decide in favor if its constitutionality. Roberts approved the law because if it were a tax, he claims it would have been constitutional. There are two problems with that absurd assertion. First, Obamacare's tyrannical mandate is obviously not a tax. Second, if it were a tax, it would still be unconstitutional. Congress's authority to tax is limited and specific and does not include taxation as punishment. Has the finding of the Dread Pirate Roberts opened the door to the several States taxing citizens for not playing the lottery? It is essentially the same.

"Constitutional"? You keep using that word...

The President's Confession

The president has, in fact, issued an executive order declaring that law enforcement will not deport illegal aliens. That is, he has done precisely what he rightly states in the video that he is not allowed to do.

As I understand it, an impeachment is like an indictment followed by a trial. But if the accused has confessed, it seems there is no longer a need for a trial. Can we proceed directly to prosection?

I'm Proud to be an American

Recently, a New York City principal surprised teachers, parents and students by interrupting kindergarten rehearsal of Lee Greenwood's God Bless the U.S.A. for a graduation presentation. She unilaterally decided the song would not be included in the presentation. Though the class had been learning and practicing the song for weeks, the principal suddenly claimed she was concerned it might offend other cultures. Later, she changed her story, claiming she thought the words were not aga-appropriate.

Of course the song might offend people of other cultures! So what? The expression of such a concern is always a red herring. In truth, that principal and others like her resent the celebration of American culture. Parents of various and sundry ethnic heritages whose children are in that class have complained about her decision. They are glad to be in this country and are eager to have their children celebrate the United States of America.

As for me, I'm proud to be an American.

Actually, I'm grateful more than anything else.

We're All Birthers Now

Obama's newly adopted communist campaign slogan, "Forward", may be where the U.S. must still look for our first ever Black president.

By now everyone knows about the many accusations, lawsuits and still unanswered questions regarding the location of Obama's birth. Yesterday, Breitbart.com added to the discussion with brief articles revealing, first, that a promotional booklet was published in 1991 that included a short biography for Barack Obama describing him as having been born in Kenya, and second, that Obama's literary agent continued to use that bio until 2007 right after Obama's presidential campaign began. Of course, such origin would disqualify him from being President of the United States.

Some have asked, "what could be done about it, anyway?" While, I'm not aware of any prescribed method for addressing such an event, I believe the mechanism for removing someone who occupied the White House fraudulently would be very much like the manner in which Honduras removed its president Zelaya when it had been determined that he had broken the law. Honduras's congress ordered the military to arrest Zelaya. His arrest is often falsely referred to as a military coup. In fact, the government of Honduras remains civilian under the same constitution as prior to Zelaya's arrest.

I'm not suggesting that the U.S. Senate ever would order the military to have Obama arrested. Even if it were proven beyond a shadow of a doubt that Obama's qualifications did not meet the constitutional demands and that he knew it all along and lied about it, I do not imagine for a moment that there are any, let alone enough, politicians with the necessary integrity to take action so potentially dangerous to their own political careers.

Those who insist that Barack Obama was born outside the United States have been disparagingly referred to as "Birthers." It has always been impossible for anyone without first-, or perhaps, second-hand knowledge of Obama's birth to be certain of the details. That fact alone is intolerable because, if nothing else, it proves that Obama has failed to meet the requirements of the constitution by refusing to prove the place of his birth. Even to this day, Obama has only offered a short form birth certificate and also a .pdf that he claims is an electronic copy of his birth certificate. Therefore, the constitution remains unsatisfied. The actual document in question must be produced for Obama's presidency to be authenticated. Anything less is insufficient. These facts are not specific to a particular nominee or president. They also demonstrate that anyone insisting that Obama was born in the U.S. is being irrational, emotionally impulsive, or perhaps even mentally unstable.

I have not considered myself a "birther" because I didn't have enough evidence to conclude that Obama was not born in the U.S. But I never found any interest in disparaging those who were being referred to as "birthers" because I didn't have enough evidence to conclude that he was born in the U.S. Over time, as more previously available, but not widely known, information has been revealed, it has become clear that many ostensible conservatives, who otherwise oppose Obama's agenda, have independently, but no less intentionally, assisted Obama's obfuscation of the available evidence, apparently out of their fear of being labelled "birthers" themselves. In fact, Breitbart.com's first article consists of almost 50% disclaimer claiming that they are not "birthers", but are merely reporting on the media's failure, or refusal, to vet Barack Obama. This is supremely hypocritical! The new information is only relevant to the question of Obama's birth. The disclaimer, essentially, rejects "birtherism" and criticizes the media for not being "birthers".

At this point, it is not only impossible to deny that Barack Obama has failed to comply with the constitutional requirement to prove his citizenship and the location of his birth, but it is also impossible to ignore the abundant evidence of a wide variety of types from a multiplicity of sources that bring Obama's birth under heavy suspicion, not the least of which is the vast amount of money spent in the form of legal fees in order to prevent court orders for the release of his records.

Joseph Farah of World Net Daily has been a leading proponent of the idea that Obama was foreign-born. A mountain of articles are available there. I recommend that you give the argument a fair hearing and decide for yourself. You might also like to keep an eye on Breitbart.com for a while because there are frequent updates to the story. For example, there is a another article casting doubt, by implication, that it was a "fact-checking error" that resulted in Obama's bio indicating he had been "born in Kenya". The article proves Obama's bio was updated in 1998 and again in 2005, but without any change to "born in Kenya".

For the Record: Romney is Obama

I don't support Ron Paul, but the speaker's support for Paul is not the point of the video. This is remarkably well done.

Two Minute Warning in America

You may have seen this ad run during the Super Bowl.

We can tell this is a Chrysler ad because logos for Jeep, Dodge, and others appear at the end. But that's our only indication. The theme of the ad is "Halftime in America". The words spoken by Clint Eastwood don't try to sell Chrysler specifically, but rather Detroit, meaning Detroit automakers.

In the course of promoting American automakers, Dirty Harry makes some statements that require a response.
"The people of Detroit know something about this. They almost lost everything. But we all pulled together. Now Motor City is fighting again."
Detroit, the city, is still a black hole of poverty and economic failure created by statist policies. The ad suggests American automakers are once again viable because "we all pulled together". But what does that mean? "Pulling together" is a phrase we use to describe a group of people who voluntarily work together for a common cause. But, could the ad be referring to anything other than the $12,500,000,000 bailout of Chrysler? Under the direction of U.S. president Barack Hussein Obama, the federal government confiscated the property of free, sovereign individuals and gave it to giant corporations and to autoworkers' unions. Nationalization and Corporatism bear no resemblance to the sense of voluntary community conveyed by the phrase "pulling together".
"It seems we've lost our heart at times. The fog of division, discord, and blame made it hard to see what lies ahead."
These words are heard while we see images of vigorous discussion on television and a protest in front of a government building. The ad teaches us here that disagreeing on issues and standing up for what we believe not only demonstrates our lack of compassion, but also clouds our vision of the inevitable future.
"But after those trials, we all rallied around what was right and acted as one."
"Those trials" refers to the aforementioned discussion, debate, and disagreement. "Rallied around" can only refer to the involuntary confiscation of our money. "What was right" refers to corporate and union welfare. "Acted as one" sounds lovely, but refers to what was undeniably forced upon us against our will.
"All that matters now is what's ahead. How do we come from behind? How do we come together, and how do we win?"
Don't look back at what's been done to you or what's been taken from you. You must only think about how to join your assailant in the pursuit of his goals. Resistance is futile.
"Detroit's showing us it can be done. And what's true about them is true about all of us."
Well, "Detroit" must refer to all American carmakers. But Ford did not receive a bailout, and they are currently more successful than those that have. So who exactly is showing us what can be done? But if you accept the disingenuous premise that corporations can only succeed with government intervention, then the lesson here is that individuals also can only succeed with government intervention.

This is not an ad for Chrysler. Its products are not even mentioned. Neither is a reason given for preferring them over competitors' products. This ad promotes statism in the particular form of corporatism, which is historically associated with Fascism. As such, it promotes Barack Hussein Obama's policies and serves quite openly as a campaign advertisement for his reelection. Your money was confiscated to be given to a large, failed corporation, to buy ownership in that corporation for unions, and to create ads for the incumbent president.

It is not "Halftime in America". This is the Two Minute Warning. We are way behind. But, there is still time, and we know the winning strategy. Only we must remain committed to it and not waver. This may be our last chance to put the right players in the game.
